An old abandoned wooden house stands by a road in the mountain countryside, carrying the stillness of a place suspended in time. In this setting, a young woman appears immersed in solitude and introspection, as if touched by fragments of memory, perhaps from childhood, perhaps from a more distant emotional landscape. The house and its surroundings seem to awaken images that are both intimate and universal, suggesting how certain places preserve traces of affection, silence, and transformation. Rather than offering a fixed narrative, the work invites the viewer to inhabit a threshold between past and present, where recollection becomes atmosphere. Photographed in 2004 on black-and-white negative film for the series Body Way, the image was printed on high-quality fine art paper and may be produced in different sizes, either as a single large-format print or in dialogue with other works from the same series.
