About

Marcus Luconi is a Brazilian fine art photographer specializing in the human figure, with a photographic career developed over five decades. Descending from a third generation of photographers, he was introduced to photography by his parents from childhood and later deepened his practice through personal research, experimentation, and the continuous refinement of his own visual language.

In 1979, he founded Kromak, a company dedicated to fashion catalog production, which remained active for four decades and became one of the largest photographic studios in Brazil. Throughout his career, Luconi also worked in editorial, advertising, and stock photography, contributing to publications and image platforms of international relevance.

His artistic work is guided by originality, the expressive use of light, and a strong connection between body, nature, atmosphere, and visual intensity. In 1996, he created the fine art project Elemental, a series developed between 1997 and 2005 using analog cameras and color transparency film. Elemental explores the relationship between humanity and the natural world, emphasizing integration, environmental awareness, and respect for nature.

Over the years, his work has been exhibited internationally in galleries, art fairs, and curated projects in Brazil, Spain, Italy, the United States, and the United Kingdom. His photography has also received recognition in international awards and contemporary art platforms.

Based in Porto Alegre, Brazil, Marcus Luconi continues to develop fine art photography for collectors, interiors, and contemporary visual spaces.

Fernando de Noronha – Atlantic Sanctuary

Photographed in 2012 during a fashion assignment, this collection reveals Fernando de Noronha as a rare Atlantic sanctuary. More than a paradise, the island impressed me with its extraordinary beauty and its genuine culture of environmental care.

These images celebrate beaches, light, ocean, wildlife, and memory — the essence of one of Brazil’s most carefully preserved natural treasures.
