Weather Yellow
On an island in southern Brazil, where strong winds from the sea constantly shape the landscape, a small valley appears in a moment of quiet suspension. The native vegetation has turned yellow, and life seems to rest in a state of latency, waiting for spring to return and awaken everything once again.
In this scene, the human figure appears almost in prayer, absorbed in deep thought, as if invoking the return of green life. Beside him, the dry tree stands as a symbol of endurance and expectation. It may no longer remain isolated; soon, new shoots may emerge around it, bringing renewal, companionship, and the promise of another cycle.
Part of the Elemental series, Weather Yellow reflects the fragile balance between human presence, climate, vegetation, and time. The image speaks of patience, transformation, and the silent hope contained in nature before rebirth.
Photographed in 1997 with a 6x7 cm analog camera on color transparency film, the original image was digitized using a high-resolution CMYK Hell cylindrical scanner, producing a fine TIFF file ideal for large-format fine art prints. Printed with museum-quality standards, this artwork brings atmosphere, depth, and poetic presence to homes, offices, and collections.
