Man in the Rain

On the highest point of a small island in southern Brazil, under a light tropical rain, a strong yet gentle man leans forward, lowering his head and opening his arms like wings. In this suspended moment, he seems to absorb the full energy of the place: the rain, the solid stone beneath his feet, the intense green vegetation, and the distant sea veiled by mist.

Part of the Elemental series, Man in the Rain expresses a deep communion between the human figure and the natural world. His gesture suggests surrender, freedom, and a silent fascination with the landscape, as if the body were responding instinctively to the spirit of the environment.

Photographed during real rainfall with a 6x6 cm analog camera on color transparency film. The original image was digitized using a CMYK Hell cylindrical scanner, creating a high-resolution file for large fine art prints on 308 gsm paper. Available in other sizes on request.
