Body Way Series

Body Way is a photographic series created by Marcus Luconi in 2004 in rural regions of Rio Grande do Sul, southern Brazil. Entirely photographed with analog cameras and black-and-white Kodak Tri-X 400 and Ilford HP5 400 film, the series explores femininity, the body, freedom, and traditions that continue across generations.

Set among farms, dirt roads, waterfalls, old wooden rooms, and natural landscapes, the images reveal women in moments of intimacy, spontaneity, and natural sensuality. The series reflects on the feminine experience in places distant from large urban centers, where patriarchal customs and social limits are still present, while also celebrating autonomy, delicacy, strength, and freedom.

With its analog grain and timeless atmosphere, Body Way creates a dialogue between past and present, gaining renewed meaning today as questions of female freedom, sensuality, and naturalness remain deeply relevant.
